Best Selling Items on eBay & How to Make Money With Them – Very Few People Are Using This Strategy

If you want to start a successful business on on-line that’s quick and easy. You need to find the best selling items on eBay and then profit from other people’s mistakes.

This sounds terrible doesn’t it? Profiting from other people’s mistakes. However, this is something countless people just like you are doing around the world and making full time incomes out of it.

Let me show you a strategy that just works, plain and simple:

1. Head over to eBay pulse and find the most searched for items in each category. This smart little tool also shows you the most popular stores for each category too if you wanted to reverse engineer any of them to find out what they’re doing. I digress.

2. Click on the category drop down list and we’ll use an example. Let’s use “clothing, shoes & accessories” the ladies favorite and we’re presented with a list like this:

1. Coach

2. Chanel

3. Handbags

4. Rings

5. Ed Hardy

6. Shoes

7. Burberry

8. Gucci

9. Bebe

10. Coach Handbags

I’ll think you’ll agree that this is quite a generic list and far too general. Click on the drop down menu again and we’ll choose “women’s handbags & bags” category. This is the list:

1. Coach

2. Chanel

3. Gucci

4. Marc Jacobs

5. Prada

6. Juicy Couture

7. Burberry

8. Guess

9. Balenciaga

10. Kate Spade

Do you notice #6 Juicy Couture? This looks like a nice niche item with tons of popular searches for it. Click on the Juicy Couture link and we’ll be taken over to the live auction for these items.

Now, to find the best selling items on eBay for this category we need to click on the “completed listings” tab. Note: you’ll need to be logged in to use this function. Congratulate yourself, you’ve now got a list of the best selling items by date, time and price sold.

What Can You Do With This Information?

Simply use the “swipe and list method” which is the technique of bidding and purchasing items quite late at night or in the early hours of the morning when there’s little competition. Trust me here, you can get items as cheap as 40-50% lower than what they should sell for if you know what you’re doing. This is simple buy low and sell high stuff.

Simply re-list the item once you’ve received delivery and make sure you end the auction on a Sunday evening which statistically is the time where you get the most bids.

If you’re in a niche where it’s still quite competitive and there are lost of similar items, I’d start the bidding really low, say $1 and list the item on either 7 -10 auction. By the time it comes to the last day, you’ll have plenty of bids and people will be attracted to your auction like flies on (sheep). This is a a nice little technique I use to gather lots of interest.

What also happens is eBay will complete the automated task of emailing each potential buyer on a regular basis telling them to up their bids. Quite nice to have a helping hand from eBay I think.

These are just some of the tricks and tips of selling items on eBay for profit. There’s a lot more, but far too many to mention in this short article.

Flaunts her Bajan roots
Born and brought up in the beautiful continental island nation in the western Atlantic nation called Barbados, Rihanna moved to the US at the age of sixteen to pursue a recording career. People who know Rihanna are very much aware of the fact the ‘Pon de Replay’ singer is very patriotic about her country and wants the world to know where she’s from. To make her cultural roots even more obvious, she incorporates a touch of her Bajan culture not just in her music but also in her dressing style. When Rihanna first made her mark in the music world, she immediately caught the attention of the western stylists as she brought in a tropical island feel to her clothes that you don’t really see on other celebs. She also wore lots of floral prints and warm colors like red and yellow, and had no problem strutting around in a bikini and sarong.

Rihanna’s fashion style
The ‘Umbrella’ singer came in public’s eye when she was just 15. Now 21, Rihanna is a pro in everything – be it her music or her dressing style. The Barbadian songstress is already a fashion icon and a model figure for many teenagers. According to stylists, what keeps Rihanna way apart from others is her non-conformist sense of style. But, the ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ artist likes to describe her style in a different way. To Rihanna her fashion style is all about having fun and staying true to herself. “I love to play to both sides of my personality – the girlie and the tough. That’s what makes my style different”, she told a magazine once.

Fans and stylists who have been observing Rihanna since the beginning of her music career say Rihanna has come a long way from her initial “Pon De Replay” days of baggy jeans and exposed lacy underwear. Today, Rihanna has set herself apart from other R&B starlets, as she now prefers designer couture over belly-baring crop tops. Much credit for her revamped image is given to her dedicated and talented team of experts who work hard for the R&B songstress. Celebrity stylist extraordinaire Mariel Haenn, who first teamed up with the pop star on the set of MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16” says, “I always bring a ton of options, and I will give her my favorites and why I think they would work best. She most of the time goes with my top choice.” Since working with Haenn, Rihanna has worn high-end designers like Yves Saint-Laurent, LaROK, Zac Posen, DSquared2, J. Mendel, Gucci, Jean-Paul Gaultier and BCBG. Rihanna’s revamped image courtesy Haenn has helped her earn endorsement contracts of JCPenney’s Miss Bisou brand. Discussing Rhi-Rhi’s penchant for fashion forward brands, a leading fashion magazine once commented, “The BeyoncĂ©s and the Rihannas of the world are aware that their imagery and look is just as important as their talent and sound.”

Rihanna’s accessories
Rihanna knows how to step up or casual down her looks by teaming a perfect set of accessories. For instance, if her clothes are casual she will make sure her jewelry is eye catching. She will go in for big, glamorous necklaces, bracelets and earrings to spice up a simple dress. Her selection of purses, shoes, make-up, and hair style everything will just be perfect and also appropriate for the event.

However, according to many stylists, Rihanna’s most enchanting accessory is her alluring smile which she always wears, no matter the outfit, no matter the event. Oodles of confidence that comes naturally to people who get early and well-deserved fame adds a glittering aura around Rihanna making her look very sensuous and desirable.

Rihanna’s shoes
Rihanna takes her shoes very seriously. The ‘Girl Like Me’ artist wears designer high heel shoes on the red carpet, for her performances, for interviews, photo-shoots, when hitting the town and even when she is injured! She knows the art of ensuring she looks impeccable even when she is supposedly dressed casually and can definitely up her sex appeal when she is making public appearances by knowing what the right pair of flat sandals or high heel stilettos is to compliment the rest of her outfit.

Stylists who have always been awestruck with Rihanna’s selection of shoes agree that Rihanna has some awesomely fierce shoe choices. Her bold high heel shoes always scream for attention. More than often Rhi-Rhi’s shoes are the most noticeable, most expressive and most talked about aspect of her ensemble which generally consists of designer outfits and expensive jewelry.

Some of Rihanna’s much discussed shoes are Giuseppe Zanotti pumps, patent peep toe booties, kinky gladiator style knee high boots with high heels by Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin booties, lace-up boots, on-trend riding boots, Chanel leather cap toe pumps, Yves Saint Laurent jelly wrap-up sandals, Alaia’s black lace-up gladiator flat boots, Balmain fringed sandals, patent thigh-high lace-up boots and black pointy shoes pump etc. The choice of Rihanna’s high heel shoes clearly shows the songstress’s personality and confident character, and already a style-icon, she takes her daring fashion-sense to newer heights and at the same time pumps up her massive sex appeal every time she steps into the public eye.

Little Black Dress of Yesterday is Your Best Chic Choice For Tomorrow

Little Black Dress is One of life’s greatest quests. Every woman looks and feels spectacular in it, using it as the go-to item in her closet for when she has “nothing to wear”. The little black dress has been a fashion institution since the 1920’s, when Coco Chanel created and introduced the first one. Chanel wanted to instill comfort with sophistication, which at the time was considered very cutting edge. Women were baring more skin on their arms and legs, enjoying a more lavish social life.

One of Chanel’s memorable quotes is that “luxury must be comfortable; otherwise it is not a luxury.” Her influence is felt still today, and the little black dress has seen many incarnations. During the Great Depression, the dress continued to be popular though the hemlines lengthen and the style was more restrained. The 50’s brought the pin-up girl influence to the make the dress more seductive statement, often in a halter style. While Mod in the 60’s shortened the length and added cutouts, it is the elegant black sheath dress designed by Givenchy for Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s that epitomized the style.

Before black became a staple in most women’s wardrobes, it was considered a color of mourning. Now, it is a standard in fashion all over the world. It is easily worn with other colors, and provides a backdrop for stunning jewelry. It slims a woman’s silhouette, and gives the appearance of being taller. It can be worn day or evening. For all of these reason’s the little black dress remains as popular today as it ever has. The sleeveless black shift is the gold standard from which all are designed.

Dress styles have changed over the years to reflect the current trends – lengths go up and down, cleavage or no cleavage, lots of embellishment to elegant simplicity. The importance of the style is to have an effortless style that embodies who you are. Today’s little black dress takes the simple lines and puts a wickedly modern twist on them.

In one of the most memorable dresses, Gwyneth Paltrow showed up in last year in London in a barely there black lace dress from Balmain, instantly influencing women all over to show more leg. Balenciaga’s sculpted tailoring creates a futuristic feel, and Prada adds ruffled insets. Sequins and beading, metallic trims, sexy fringes, jagged hemlines, seductive single shoulder styles and pleats gave dimension to the dress, as sales climbed this past year. Continuing into 2009 women will be adding more to their little black dress collection.

Your closet should include at least two styles of Little Black Dress – daytime as well as evening. Soft jersey knits provide an easy backdrop to run errands in during the week, keeping creases to a minimum and always giving you an up to date look. Tank style dresses can be layered over pops of color, t-shirt styles are updated with metallic belts, and classic shirtdresses are cinched with ribbons and bows. Angelina Jolie has always embodied easy daytime style with her simple, chic black dresses, even when pregnant. The daytime black dress is easily accessorized with colorful jewelry and scarves, along with fun strappy sandals.

The Little Black Dress offers perfect styles to let you show off your most dramatic shoes. Shoes have become a commanding influence, and there have been many pairs purchased without regard to an outfit because they are so fabulous. This is where a simple black statement on top will show off the most decadent of footwear.

While many top designers’ black dresses can run into the thousands of dollars, it is not necessary to spend so much for a stunning appearance. Couture style dresses is easier to find, and one of the top designers creating timeless designs is Natasha Leratti, a Miami-based fashion designer. One of her most spectacular strapless little black dresses features cascading ruffles and an uneven hemline. The bodice offers a hint of cleavage shown off by a crystal buckle. It retails for $599.00, which differs greatly from the $5,000 shown by other couture designers. She also offers a comfortable looking black knit dress for under $100 that can easily be dressed up and down. What sets Leratti apart is her willingness to customize styles and colors for her clients, at a fraction of the price. “Most customers don’t receive anywhere near the quality and design in clothing for their hard earned cash as they should,” notes Leratti. As a purveyor of the finest quality materials, she creates luxurious women’s clothing that you’ll want to fill your closet with. “Leratti’s designer clothes allow you to feel beautifully confident,” client Easter Huggins commends. Next time you are considering a Little Black Dress, or adding pieces to your wardrobe consult Leratti’s website or contact her directly for a personal touch.
